Dimitris Karponis is a sophomore at the Anatolia College of Thessaloniki. He is very interested in physics and mathematics. The main reason he joined the iGEM team was because he loves lab work and wants to gain experience. In the future, he would like to study medicine and research possible treatment methods (conjecture) on the field of cancer therapy.

Gregory Petkoglou is a junior student at the AFS of Thessaloniki and a proud member of the Greek iGEM team. He is grateful for having the chance to be part of this competition and glad for having such great teammates. He hopes to take part in iGEM next year as well.

Her name is Maria Anastasiadou and she is sixteen years old. She studies at the American Farm School and her favorite subject is bio. She is interested in synthetic biology and hands-on research and that's why she decided to be part of the iGEM team this year.

My name is Maria-Anna Chrysovergi and I am currently a student of the American Farm School of Thessaloniki. I really love biological engineering and because of that I took part in the greek iGEM team. This year except from iGEM competition I will also go to the Camp Rising Sun program. My favorite hobby is cycling and taking photographs.

Hello!!! I am Meletis Nigdelis and I am an 11th grader at Anatolia. My favourite subject is Biology and Mathematics. I love working on limits, differential calculus and integral calculus. My relation with Biology, though, has always been special. Since I was a little boy, I was amazed by the complexity of life and the DNA. As I grew older, school was what made me appreciate Biology more. Apart from those two subjects, I love studying Ancient Greek and World Literature. I must admit that I am for the "Homo Universalis" idea. Everyone must have general knowledge on many subjects so he can survive in this dog eat world. Moreover, I play the violin since 1st Grade. I started playing the piano 3 years ago. I have studied Music theory and harmonics. Apart from music, I have been working on the issue of diplomacy. I have attended 7 Model United Nations conference and I have actively participated in my school's MUN organizing committee. I would like to conclude with a quote of Einstein which works as my motto: "I want to know God's thoughts, all the rest are details." I wish good luck to everyone!!!!

Stella Lentzou is sixteen years ols and she lives in the campus of the American Farm School but she comes from an agricultural village. The reason why she decided to join the iGEM team is because she is very interested in bio and biological engineering. During the preparation for the competition she obtained valuable knowledge in genetics which will prove useful for her university studies. She also learned to cooperate with her classmates under pressure I live in the campus of the American farm school of Thessaloniki, but I come from an agricultural village. The reason I decided to join the iGEM competition is the fact that I am highly interested in biology and specifically biological engineering. During the preparation for the competition I have obtained valuable knowledge in the genetics which will prove useful for my university studies. What is more, I have learned to cooperate with my classmates under time pressure.

Theodosis is a junior at the American Farm School. He is fascinated by the idea of manipulating life and playing god the same way you create circuits. Through iGEM he wants to learn more things about Biology and Bioengineering and encourage more students to join the pilot program in the future.
